Frequently asked questions

Yes — the numeric keypad allows the door to be opened and closed with a code, without a traditional key. The mechanical key remains as a backup. The code can be changed at any time via the app.
The readers used in Budvar systems have an IP65 protection rating and an advanced recognition algorithm — they work effectively in changing weather conditions. Wet fingers may occasionally require a repeat scan.
The Somfy TaHoma® hub is compatible with Budvar external roller shutters with Somfy io motor, Budvar garage doors with io drive, and entrance doors with A-drive or electric strike.
Internet is required for remote control via the app. Local control via Bluetooth (keypad, reader) and the physical key work without internet — the doors can always be opened mechanically.
Yes — the numeric keypad and fingerprint reader can be installed in existing Budvar doors equipped with an AS3600 door lock and A-drive. Integration with TaHoma® is performed by an authorised service.
