- Removal of old doors — remove the leaf and frame; clean the opening of old foam, sealant, and plaster remnants.
- Preparation of the opening — check dimensions and squareness; level the reveals; ensure a solid, level, and continuous support for the threshold; prepare DPC/sill pan or suitable moisture barrier where required.
- Frame installation — position the frame on packers; set plumb, level, and square; check diagonals; ensure continuous, rigid support under the threshold; temporarily brace and maintain even installation gaps.
- Anchoring — secure the frame to the wall with steel anchors or expansion bolts in accordance with the system provider/manufacturer’s guidelines and the size/weight of the door leaf; keep appropriate edge distances and spacing; do not distort the frame during fixing.
- Sealing — fill the gap with low‑expansion PU foam and apply internal airtight and external watertight membranes (tapes) for warm installation; seal and isolate the threshold to the DPC/sill pan.
- Door leaf installation — hang the door leaf on hinges; fit hardware as required; check smooth opening and closing.
- Adjustment — set compression/hinges; align strikes; verify the lock, latches, and all multi‑point bolts engage fully without friction.
- Finishing — fit cover strips and threshold finishes; apply exterior/interior sealant as specified; make good plaster/render for a neat, weathertight result.
